Learning to Love Your Self.
Loving myself means accepting everything that I am. Sometimes it is hard, but I am strong!
Loving myself means giving myself everything that I need, when I need it, and in moderation.
Loving myself means allowing others to love me because I am worthy of it. And so are you.
I have struggled to love myself for so long because I did not feel good enough for anything or anyone.
I did not think that I mattered to anyone so why bother anymore? Everyone that I had ever loved, let me down in a major way. And I was alone.
I was terrified forever of being alone, afraid of one day dying alone.
During all this, I realized that I am okay being alone. I am okay with myself and who I am. It can be scary to show your true self to others, but I think you must to fully live and experience true happiness.
I used to think it was so odd to see people out alone for dinner, at a park, or a movie. Now I have been stood up a time or two, so I know THAT feeling. But being able to do things on your own is so powerful. Like, you do not need a single person to be and can go on to do whatever pleases you.
All you need is yourself. You are the most important person and should fully take care of and love yourself. When you are the best, you truly can be the best for others. Being a mother, I feel that is so important.
It is okay to lose people and things. It took me so long to truly feel this. People matter and they are an important part of your life. But when they are gone, it is not their end and it is not yours. So, to be sad and take your energy there is a waste of your time here. I believe that you will see the people you love again after they have passed on.
We all matter, and we are all apart of each other. So, it is just as important to love others as you love yourself. But you must give love to yourself to be able to give love, show love, and truly love others.
